My First Chess Tournament!

So yesterday (Saturday) I went to my first USCF rated tournament. Below I have the games, with analysis and commentary by me. This is my first real blog so if it's bad, please be patient. Thank you and enjoy!

Okay, here we go.

Round 1:

Here's yet another pic my dad took during that first game. Pretty nice (yet relatively small) playing hall.

Round 2:

I was playing a complete beginner, and it was totally unfair. GG

Round 3: (didn't get my opponent's name here unfortunately btw)

In between rounds 3 and 4, there was a long break. Since I was now the top-ranked player in my division, I was getting mentally prepared for a long battle. And sure enough, it was. Here it is:

Round 4:

So I lost. But that was an okay thing. This game taught me many things that I have learned from. Obviously I learned something from every game I played, whether or not it was practical or something on the board. But you learn the most from losses, so in a way I was kinda glad I lost (and I was already prepared for that, anyway).

I finished second place.
