White vs Alekhine Defense
Okay - very embarrassed!
Swatted by an Alekhine's defense.
I had a quick read of my Lev Alburt / Dzindzi book and it suggests exchange, which I venture without preparation (with usual attendant consequences ie. 0-1). My previous efforts against Alekhine defense have been 4-pawns attack in earlier years (against more junior players) and a muddled effort to understand the 1.e4 Nf6 2.e5 Nd5 3.d4 - two pawn approach with a smaller center. This last is advocated by "An Opening Repertoire for the Attacking Club Player" D Levy and also "An Attacking Repertoire for White" S Collins.
