Outstanding Chess Tactics!
This website has its own tactical problems / tactical trainer.
I find many of the problems to be stupid and boring (vulgar!) and only about winning material. Additionally, no credit is given if you find a winning line, but not the one chosen by the creator. (Whomever that is.)
However, once in a while, you see a tactics problem that is really outstanding. I thought I would make a blog to memorialize the best of the best!
#1.) Go for mate! (#28681)
This problem comes from an opening that I studied many years ago. (Max Lange Attack.)
This comes from a real game. (Kazic vs. Vukovic, Yugoslavia, 1940.)
A real winner!
#2.) Always check ... it might be mate?!? (#39807)
This is a problem ... as best as I have been able to determine ... it was actually a composition by the player, Phillipe Stamma. (1st position, below.)
Black plays 1...QxP/h5. [Now it is: "White to move - and win." (See the position, below.)]

Stay tuned for more problems!
