"Theater adds security for 'Minecraft' audiences" / "Minecraft ‘Chicken Jockey’ trend hits Utah theaters, movie-goer kicked out after bringing live chicken"

....................................is it kinda weird that I'm gonna genuinely miss this generation? 🤣

The first half of 2025 is officially over and we've already had so many good films hit theaters this year. I don't wanna get focused too much more on the movies I've already seen and reviewed so in this blog, I will just quickly be adding in a few extra comments I have to say about these films from Woody Harrelson's "Last Breath" all the way to the eighth ( And hopefully last since Tom Cruise 62 ) Mission: Impossible film, the so called "Final Reckoning".

Welcome to the 2025 review so far. ( Spring edition )

⭐⭐⭐ 3/4

This film technically should have been in the Winter 24-25 edition of this blog series since it was released in February, BUT, because I wasn't as eager to watch it, I waited until it was out on Peacock for free to see it for the first time in April.

Anyways, yeah... it's a little forgettable and a bit too long. ( Even though in reality it was probably one of the shortest movies of 2025 at just 1 hour and 33 minutes, including the about 7-minute-long credits, but whatever............ it felt long 💩 )  3 and 3/4 stars.

LILO & STITCH (2025)
FULL MOVIE REVIEW: CLICK
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Everyone was saying how this remake was going to turn Disney reboots around forever... then it actually came out, and I'm willing to bet over 80% of fans went out of that theater disappointed.

Fortunately, that wasn't my case. I loved this film, I thought it was incredible.

I linked my full review above the starred rating, but here are a few extra thoughts I completely forgot to add in before I published it.............................. sorry 'bout that:

  • I refuse to think about Stitch being played by an actual human
  • Stitch's ending monologue was the same 🤷 ( That part is so sigma )
  • Was Iam Tongi's version of "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" even played during this movie??? I'm almost 100% sure it wasn't in the credits and like... 99% sure it wasn't in the actual film anywhere... am I going crazy???
  • Another "am I going crazy" moment, but... is it just me, or was "O'hana" not as mentioned in this one either? ( I remember them saying it like... once... 💩🤣 )
  • All of the actors and actresses were amazing ( Except for Zach Galifianakis as Jumba; any other character??? Maybe; but THIS GUY? 👇🤣 )

WHO AGREES TO MAKING THEMSELVES LOOK LIKE THAT BESIDES FOR THE MONEY? 🤣

  • I couldn't BELIEVE how the 8-year-old actress who played Lilo, Maia Kealoha, could act so well with CGI at that age; there HAS to be some explanation to how she could do that cuz honestly??? I probably couldn't have 💩

So, there you have it. 😁

This movie is already doing so well in the box office ( How did it top Mission tho 🙏😭 ) that I'm starting to get worried about getting a remake sequel like Disney's been thinking about doing with Aladdin; Walt Disney Studios' Co-Chairman, Alan Bergman, said this about the remake, just 3 days before its release: "It feels like it’s going to work very well, and it’s the kind of property that lends itself to more...”

...if they redo "Stitch Has A Glitch", I'm gonna barf. But also, since Disney made so many substantial changes for this film to work, of course, they're gonna to have to do some other substantial stuf in order to make a sequel work. BUT, based off of all the mixed reviews for this one, ( Most being negative ) I'm not even sure if Disney's still considering a second film........................................................................................................................ but who knows what they be cooking up rn............ it's probably not anything better, but...

*Crickets Crickets*

MAN, I really got off track there. 🤣

Best Disney remake, 5 stars. 💩

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE- THE FINAL RECKONING
FULL MOVIE REVIEW IS COMING SOON; NO LINK AVAILABLE
⭐⭐⭐⭐

My full movie review of this film is in the works right now, but here's what I think about this one overall:

It was not as colorful and/or set apart from any of the other missions, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I loved this movie, I thought it was great, I just think maybe some parts could've been a bit better.................................... idk... there was just a lot that happened. 🤣🤣🤣 ( The climax was perfect 👌 )

So... yeah. 4 stars.

FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH
NO MOVIE REVIEW AVAILABLE OR IN THE WORKS
⭐⭐⭐ 3/4

Pretty fun; it's really just a mix of every Indiana Jones/National Treasure type movie in existence, but still... 🤪

There will be no movie review for this one, so here are my very few notes that I had: ( It wasn't enough for me to make the full review, so... yeah 😉 )

  • VidAngel= bad 🤣🤣🤣 ( There wasn't even that much language, but still... unbelievable... 😆 )
  • Who is this director guy Ritchie??? ( ...see what I did there??? 🤣🤣🤣 )
    Hold up... he directed Aladdi-
  • All the slo-mo scenes were not sigma 😆
  • I don't see anything wrong with their relationship... how is it dysfunctional? 🤣 ( The punching, the kicking, or the shooting...............? 🤔😆 )
  • What was goin' on with my bro's accent tho fr 🤣🤣🤣 ( You know what I'm talking about... )
  • Deb: "Next time, I'm going inside with you"
Luke: "That's fair; not you, Murph"
    Murph: "Of course" 🤣🤣🤣
  • Ending especially was very "Indiana Jones"
  • All these streaming app originals always end on an unneeded cliffhanger in case it makes money... then it makes money, and we never get a sequel 💩 ( Why is it so true tho 😆 )
  • Why no post-credits scene? This would've been a perfect film to have one, not to mention the fact that the movie ended on one of the most unnecessary and stupid cliffhangers of all time ( Or maybe "Back In Action" wins that award... it might have to be a tie... 🤣🤣🤣 )

......................................................................................................yes. 3 and 3/4 stars.

KARATE KID: LEGENDS ( UPCOMING )
FROM THE LOOKS OF IT: ⭐⭐⭐ 3/4

PAST THOUGHTS: Looks too similar to the 2010 Karate Kid with Jackie Chan... and I didn't like that one... so... I'll go for the movie theater experience, but I ain't paying. 💩 ( All these KK movies are the same exact thing tho, so... you win some and lose some ig............................................................... wait... did that make sense? )

PRESENT THOUGHTS: I'm actually getting kinda excited to see this movie. I honestly might watch it like... soon. 💩🤣

From the looks of it, 3 and 3/4 stars.

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON ( UPCOMING )
FROM THE LOOKS OF IT: ⭐⭐⭐ 1/2

I'm on the fence about this one too; it looks no different from the og and possibly worse... I DON'T EVEN KNOW ANYMORE. WHY CAN'T PEOPLE MAKE ACTUALLY GOOD AND ORIGINAL MOVIES NOWADAYS?! ( And not something original like "Elio" 🤢 ) THIS WOULDN'T BE HAPPENING IF PEOPLE WOULD JUST THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX AND BE A LITTLE CREATIVE. I'M DON-

*Beep Beep, Beep Beep*

*Sighhhhhhhhhhhhh*

It's my nap time now. Goodnight. ( From the looks of this one, 3 and 1/2 stars 🤪 )

............................................................sorry... I'm back now.

Like I said at the beginning of this blog, we're halfway through the year and the box office is booming. ( I love Stitch'n: Impossible )

BUT... let's not get too focused on the past; look to the future: ( What the bumper sticker 🤣 ) we have a lot of films to look up to ( Wink Wink 😉 ) this summer break; absolutely can't wait. See y'all soon.

Jetplane Movies has been such an amazing journey for me. To look back over the years and see my style of writing change has been so fun and it's been such a blessing having all of y'all by my side. Whether this is your first time reading, or you've been a fan since the beginning. I thank you; from the bottom of my heart. This has been a very exciting part of my writing career and I'm so happy with how it's turned out. It's definitely had its ups and downs, (*Cough Cough* The @Jehtt Tribute) but I'm so excited to now be able to share these blogs with the Chess.com community... even though they are ALL about movies.
