My Take On DC (Rebooted)
I'm not tracking how James Gunn wants this whole "DCU" to blow up.
He made Superman (Which is by the way the very first movie in this entire DC universe thing) rated PG-13... but now, he's tossing out all these R-rated/TV-MA things left and right that are supposed to TIE INTO THE PG-13 SUPERMAN... (Peacemaker's post-credits scene, Supergirl, which, let's be honest, will most likely be rated R, and which is also literally a set-up spinoff of Superman, the upcoming TV-MA HBO series, Lanterns, which is supposed to have Guy Garnter in it, things like that...) I think y'all know what I'm getting at.
This is how I felt with that little movie called "Deadpool & Wolverine". That one film, from all the promos, looked like it answered BILLIONS of questions I had about the X-Men universe AND the MCU with it tying into, of course, all the old and new X-Men movies (WHICH, MAY I REMIND YOU, ARE ALL PG-13 EXCEPT FOR LOGAN) and TV-14 Loki... but then they had to go ruin everything and make it rated R.
My point is, I've never been a true fan of DC, and this new DCU isn't really all that I hoped it would be... so, in today's blog, I will be sharing my thoughts on the DC movies I have seen, (Not including the 2 animated ones 🤣) and what I hope to see in the future.

Aquaman & Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom
PAST THOUGHTS: A little too boring, Jason Mamoa is just a TERRIBLE actor, Willem Dafoe scares me, and the overall movie was way too predictable.
PRESENT THOUGHTS: Yeah, Willem Dafoe still scares me.
Shazam!
Way too spiritual with all the demons and stuf, this movie could have been a GAZILLION times better.
Blue Beetle
The first time I saw this movie, I thought it was AWESOME... like... THE GREATEST... then the second time I saw this movie, (Which was literally like 3 days ago 🤣) I thought it was just... pretty good.
*Crickets Crickets*
...I don't know why that's important, just thought you should know. 😆
Anyways, this second time around, I realized 2 things: 1, the language wasn't even that bad, and 2, we still haven't gotten a sequel after that insane post-credits scene, so... James Gunn better get on that and not re-introduce him in the POST-CREDITS SCENE OF A TV-MA SHOW WITH JOHN CENA!!!

Sorry. I just found out that Nicholas Hoult was in Peacemaker and got a teeny bit mad. I'm back now. Truth is, I don't want a Blue Beetle animated show. I hate that idea. I want a live-action, sequel, MOVIE... NOW.
The Dark Knight (2008)
I think I only watched the first 40 minutes of this one. Don't get me wrong, it was a good movie, I just think it was a little too dark... even though that was probably the whole point of the "Dark Knight" title... 🤣
I will for sure have to try again soon. 🫡
Superman (2025)

MY DREAM DC UNIVERSE
I know, I know... the first thing I talk about in my "dream" for the DCU is literally a movie we all know is already being made, but listen... I have certain DREAMS for this one film.
I'm really, really, really hoping this one maintains the overall vibe of Superman, just good clean fun, but, uhhh... yeah, all my hopes and dreams for THAT reality were out the window the minute that first poster dropped. 🤣
I know DC just did a Batman reboot (Or sequel, prequel, whatever it was lol) with "THE Batman" and I also know they're working on a part two, BUT... I just really wish that someday we might get a not-so dark knight movie. (You see what I did there? 😆)
Hear me out... James Gunn MASTERED making a not-so dark SUPERMAN movie with adding in comedy, a lot of bright colors, and all that... I know there's a 0.0001% chance of that happening with Batman, but... that's my dream. 💩🤣
I think a Justice Gang movie could be super fun, (Plus, I already came up with a sick logo for it ☝😏) but honestly, I think I would rather get a standalone Mr. Terrific spinoff, whether it be a film or a series. 👇🤣
And James Gunn is already "considering" that idea, so... 😎😆
Get whatever the freak "DC Crime" is out of here cuz I just came up with literally the greatest idea ever: THE DAILY PLANET OFFICE; it's The Office, but... at the Daily Planet... 🤣

I have absolutely NO idea how the 2016 Batman V Superman movie went down, I just know I would love to see a crossover between these 2 guys at some point... that's not in all-LEGO form... 🤣
Guys, James Gunn better see this blog... I think the world--I mean--I think I really need that Blue Beetle sequel now... oh, and I also need "DC Crime" not to exist. Thanks. 😊
