Chess Masterpieces: Timman vs. Karpov, 1984
Anatoly Karpov is one of my favorite chess players. He demonstrates perfect harmony in his chess games and thrives at one of my weak points: anticipating his opponent's ideas. In this game against Jan Timman, he finds a brilliant prophylactic move to stifle Timman's attack and then initiate a brilliant assault of his own.
Here are my annotations to the game, including thoughts on many moves not covered in the video analysis.
I hope you enjoyed this game as much as I did. If you liked the game and analysis, consider sharing it with a friend and check out more videos on youtube or live streams on Twitch.
