A couple of days ago i posted a blog called "The 3 Best Attacking Openings For White" and so to not  be discriminant,i have decided to make one for black so...

I am now going to show you the top 3 best attacking openings for  the black pieces (in my opinion) these openings all have absolutely crushing attacks which will leave the white players   head spinning! I hope you enjoy them!

1.Rousseau Gambit

The Rousseau Gambit,a sub line of the Italian Game, starts with the usual 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4,normal stuff, but then you shock your opponent with the move 3...f5!

Even tho the computer says this is winning for white, the white player certainly does not know how to beat this gambit! the natural moves exf5,Nc3 and Bxg2 all lose on the spot for white, while d3 does not lose white the game,it certainly doesn't help! The only good move for white hear is d4! I'm sure no one will play that move!

Meanwhile for you its all very simple, you just wait till white falls into one of the many, many traps, but if he doesn't fall for them, then you just play e4,Nf6,d5 and Bxf5 and you are ahead in development and ready to unleash your killer attack!

Key Advantages:
there are many, many traps for white to fall into.

There is a  simple system if they dont fall into a trap.

And you have a simply winning attack!

Key Tactic:

Like i said before the moves e4,Nf6,d5 and Bxf5 are really key to start your attack, another helpful thing is 0-0 as if you see, your rook will have a semi open file against whites castled king.

(If you want to learn more about this opening check out my blog called "The Pawn That Destroys The Italian Game")

3.Traxler Counter Attack

The Traxler Counter Attack is a sub line of the Knight Attack(better known as the fried liver)which is a popular sub line of the Italian Game, which starts with 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.Ng5,in this position white is probably expecting d5,but here you play 4...Bc5!

You may be thinking "Hey Noah, doesnt that blunder a fork?" but ha! I tricked you!You want white to play 5.Nxf7? as then you can play 5...Bxf2!! sacrificing your bishop!! This move is the move that will start your crushing attack. In some lines you will even checkmate the white king in the middle of the board!

Key Advantages:

You have plenty of traps that your opponent can fall into,so even if they no some of them, they may still fall into other traps you have laid out for them.

The move Bxf7+ for white, even tho a lot better than Nxf7,and does stop Bxf2+,does not save white and they still have plenty of traps waiting for them somewhere along the line.

Key Tactic:

After Bxf2+ an important move is Nxe4+ and depending were white puts there king, you ether play Qh4 or Qf6.

2.Hartlaub-Charlick Gambit

The Hartlaub-Charlick Gambit is a sub line of the famous Englund gambit. It starts of with 1.d4 e5 2.dxe5 d6 3.exd6 Bxd6.

It may not be as attacking and trapy as compared to my two previous openings, with a lot slower pace, but once your attack starts,my oh my white is in some serious trouble!it is also pretty good for beginner level as it follows a system of Nc6,Bg4,Qe7,0-0-0 and usually Nf6 as well, and because of this it is easy to learn.

Key Advantages:

Easy to learn, with not to much theory.

Has some pretty good traps white can fall into.

Effective attack.

It is very hard for white to play against and find the right moves.

Key Tactic:

Bxf2+ a very common sac that you can use across several lines and it is extremely effective. You also have the famous "fishing poll trap" which is an extremely good way to start your attack.
