Caro-Kann Tartakower | Pawn Structure Lesson
I recently did a live pawn structure lesson for the ChessGoals YouTube channel. At the end of the lesson, I showed this sample game I played from the Chicago Open. I had the black side of a Caro-Kann Tartakower that featured a pawn cube formation on the kingside! Not just doubled pawns, two sets of adjacent doubled pawns!
This game features some key themes.
- Using doubled pawns to your advantage.
- Pawn weaknesses around the king.
- Using pawns to block opposing forces.
