Interview conducted on October 5, 2025.

Me: This is the 16th BTA blog. @BermudanPM is being interviewed today. How are you doing?

Bermuda: Quite well I’ve been doing great in life recently

Me: Tell us a bit about yourself!

Bermuda: So I’m a football/soccer loving person I’m a male and I love chatting and doing stuff like that. Also I like history, maths, politics and chess is also fun. Ye im a bit of a nerd

Me: Why did you choose your username? Have you had any before this one?

Bermuda: Tbh I didn’t have much logic behind choosing this username. Basically I had my username as mmrocs and used the Bermudan flag for fun and at one moment just thought “why not impersonate the Bermudan prime minister” and here we are lol

Me: Why did you choose your current pfp?

Bermuda: I’ve had it for a long time it’s my favourite football/soccer player but you wouldn’t know who he is. He’s super tuff (unlike me but yk who cares about charisma and social skills frfr)

Me: Who is he?

Bermuda: That is for you to decide. (Ps: Thx pengy for that inspiration

Me: I just wanted to know who he actually is.

Me: Do you have a staff position in or own any clubs?

Bermuda: I personally would rather not say who he is sorry.

Bermuda: I own a few clubs but don’t really strive to do anything with them. I am co-owner in 3 checks and an active member in cvc.

Me: Alrighty then.

Me: How did you find Chess.com social and what is your opinion on it?

Bermuda: Well I must say my mind is very curious and when I saw all the menus I was just like “what are these?” And found clubs, scrolled down saw cvc and was like, “why not?” And joined

Me: And your opinion on social is...?

Bermuda: I love it too much. All the ppl that I see are so nice and so great (apart from a few (you know who you are (another triple bracket yay))) and I get addicted to it tho I have a blog about that so I won’t rant here. Anyways the ppl are great

Me: Interesting. I've noticed a lot of people starting to push back a bit.

Me: Do you prefer clubs or OTF, and why?

Bermuda: Clubs easily, specifically cvc. It feels like a big class but otf feels like a school. Clubs is a great community with great people also and easy chatting space. Basically social media for nerds

Me: What would you say is your greatest achievement on Chess.com?

Bermuda: Prob reaching 1000 rapid (even tho im so bad at chess) I don’t really have any big achievements on social tho I am planning on hosting a cvc mafia possibly soon which could take the spot but I am trying to play more chess and get away from social slowly

Me: Are there any blogs/clubs/people you would like to shoutout, and if so what/who are they?

Bermuda: Well I’ll start by shouting out all of cvc and 3 checks and now a few (million) people. I’ll start by addressing the staff in cvc aka Qoi, you (sorry for being annoying about quotes and interviews), Forsaken, ChessBeteigeuze and Carlsen. I’ll also shoutout some of my closest friends on cvc aka, Marie, dove and cosmic (and Ian and agent can also fit into that category). I’ll shoutout all the people that grew cvc to what it is today and all the active members. It would take 5 years to shoutout everyone but thanks to everyone whos been a great friend. And thank you very much for interviewing me. It’s been a delight.
