yeah here the episode starts... 

sam- oh no i have to take pikachu to the pokemon center

pikachu health- sam- oh  no pikachu is losing health -500% means pokemon death!

60 min later....

sam- finally reached the pokemon center pikachu health is -270%

*sam goes in the pokemon center...*

pokemon center lady- pikachu is badly hurt it will need more 4 days to recover by the way what damaged it so much??

sam- in a gym battle... pikachu was destroyed 

pokemon center lady- i have a thunderstone that will help pikachu evolve and you to win the gym battle...

sam- do want to evolve, pikachu??

pikachu- pika..chu (no i want to beat onix as what i am!) 

sam- ok then...

4 days later...

*sam goes to the gym* 

gym leader- so came to lose again??

sam- no came to win!

the battle starts! 

gym leader- go onix earthquake! *the earth quake blasts the rocks up!!* 

sam- pikachu, use agility on those rock and climb up on onix's head! 

gym leader- go use dig onix!

*onix digs into the ground* 

sam- pikachu use thunder bolt in that hole onix made! *all rocks and soil hit onix!* 

sam- yay we win our gym badge 

and this is how sam gets his first gym badge...
