March Knights

The Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis (CCSCSL) has a month long tournament every month, with one round per week Monday night at 7PM.

This month, March, has a great tourney, with almost 20 participants, and an unusual 5 rounds (!) as the last round is March 31!

Thus far, I am tied for first, with 3.5-0.5, as I took a half-point bye in round 1.

Info on the event, with games and standings, can be found by clicking here at the CCSCSL website.

I won an interesting game in round 3 against 2nd seed, Alex Vergilesov.

I played an unorthodox way in the opening, and seized the advantage when my opponent voluntarily gave up the two bishops and opened up the game.

Enjoy the game!
