Hello everyone, ever had this brilliant game where you sacrificed your queen for a nice checkmate? Or when you actually pulled off a smothered mate, or a greek gift sacrifice that works? And then you remembered that you already used your free game review for the day (if you're just an ordinary member not diamond). Well, we've all been there. For white I like to play the Bishop Opening and Queen Gambit Accepted, for black I play Caro-Kann Defense and Queen's Gambit Declined would you recommend these to a beginner or why not?

Hi everyone, improvement forums are back! This time, this forum is dedicated to beginners at chess, specifically those who has a rapid rating lower than 500. At this level, I suggest you to not play traps or gambits and play Italian instead. Make sure not to hang pieces and capture opponent's hanging pieces and you're all set to cross 500! What's the popular anime waifu that you can't help but hate, fear, or despise? I bet there's a ton, but you're afraid to say it xD. You can feel safe to say all the hatred here, and you're not going to be lynched in the comments as in Reddit. (P.S: Only female characters allowed, if y'all want I can make an identical husbando forum.) For me, it's Kaguya Shinomiya. I'm similar to Ishigami is multiple ways and same for my view of Shinomiya. I'm really into historical fiction, and I remember watching an anime about Princess Diana's life. I had no idea who she was at the time. I just saw it listed as 'historical' on my anime list and I decided to watch it. Months later, talking with an ex, she mentioned something from her history class that reminded me of the anime, so I showed it to her. We were both surprised that Diana had an anime, apparently made because she was visiting Japan and was popular back then lol

I am current studying games of "My 60 memorable games" and one thing I want to say is that the analysis in many places is inaccurate. I just want to ask, is there any newer editions where we have a modern GM's analysis instead of the one Fischer gave? Or atleast any YT series where any modern titled player analyses all 60 games

I have strong opening setup for beginners and early-intermediates that is not liked much by engines but at the level I mentioned is fire. It is for black, and I myself had a good score with it. It actually is a setup, or a system Even if in many position white can take some slight advantage that would need strong positional understanding that at lower levels doesn't even matter. Also from personal experience I had a good winning percentage

Share your methods of improvement, techniques, openings, resources, and other chess-related material below! 

We have finally gathered enough people, so let's goo! Firstly, a few things: Rules: No inappropriate or explicit content  All profanity must either be replaced with an euphemism or censored (eg using the characters @ for a, $ for s, ! for i, etc). Damn, crap, and non profane exclamations such as OMG, jesus christ etc may be written as is. Don't harass, mock or belittle anyone else, this is not a rap battle or diss competition.  Do not plagiarize other people's works, if there is evidence of plagiarism, your song will be deleted.  Do not use AI!! Same as plagiarism, if enough people think your song is the work of AI, it will be removed (details later).  Links are not allowed.
