I am so lucky, this helps me keep my 500 rating, and made them lose theirs. I won I think because of luck and the check I did. I also tried to checkmate. Lol. No criticize pls.

It had a lot of blunders, but I think it still provides a good learning experience.

I just wanted to ask you once do you want to try out the Catalan in a few games against me in rapid? Also if anyone else wants to try the Catalan out against me I am open to challenges!

I was joking around playing chess like a month ago, and it really messed up my ELO, so I actually had to bring it back up, so it is the beginning. Heres the terrible game I played to get there lol (not a bad checkmate though).

I've been grinding rapid today because it's actually "real" chess and I need to stop playing meme chess. So this just happened, and my opponent resigned. May be on of the gnarliest, most menacing sac's I've ever done.

...but i didn't really have any games I was really proud of, except this one. Because, of course, I'm determined not to get outplayed in my own opening! Themes: endgame, pawn snatching, neutralizing kingside attack, pawn play Only the simplest of tactics were used. (the one where I snatched a pawn) I liberally inserted mistakes and inaccuracies into the game, because in the absence of pure blunders, every little inaccuracy, every small mistake may lead to terrible consequences. These mistakes and inaccuracies aren't simply refuted because of a tactical resource, but rather a long term positional edge, usually ending with "black/white has a difficult time".

Hey, I kind of get afraid of playing daily games because I don't understand how it works.. How do daily games work (ex. 1 day). With that said, I also get nervous before any chess game, even live chess. How to get rid of nerves?

nice checkmate for me. worth it. I had the advantage and I was never in trouble. cool. seemingly all my wins come from when I'm black now. huh. I played a semi-gambit after the I doubled the pawn.
Pawntonic Jun 23, 2021
My favorite checkmate/game ever. 2 mistakes, 1 blunder, 0 missed wins. Perfectly planned checkmate. mmmmm so good.

Other than “best club owner” of course ) All awards will be given on a monthly basis. Up for grabs are: •Most Helpful Member •Most Creative Player •Best Teacher (in game analysis and help) •Most Improved Member •Best thread creator And maybe more! awards will be announced next week! Yesterday wasn't a good day for the good ol rating but sheesh started out with a bang today

this is something I’ve been wondering for awhile now. Considering there’s absolutely no information how to actually playing the Lemming, which variation do you think is better for black? original/classic: modern:

I keep playing the " bishops opening " moving the bishop out first before my d pawn (white perspective. So I could get out the bishop before I move up the d pawn because it would block the bishop. I am also wondering if I could also play a Bishop Dragon, (if you know what that is) to develop bishop and stuff better. I used to play a variety of openings, now this is what I play, REGULARLY.

To truly learn and gain experience, I would like for Viznik to start Vote Chess so we can learn more and more as a group. For this to happen, I would at least like 30-35 "Signatures" (about 1/3rd of the club). Say "I" if you would like in. Then I will edit your name in within 12 hours. Viznik you should sign up too, thanks. Key: * = if needed ? = Likely, but not 100% -------------------------- 1. parkerkorb 2. hvenki 3. ninjaswat (?) 4. little_guinea_pig 5. ChessPrix2314 6. Happy April Fools Day! April 1, 2025: “The ability to play chess is the sign of a gentlemen. The ability to play chess well is a sign of a wasted life.” -Paul Morphy, GM. (Do you think he stole this quote from his dad who shamed him into quitting chess?)
