So for some reason, every site BESIDES chess.com supports Fide, everyone on these forums thinks magnus was innocent. On the jeans: There is a strict dress code, magnus knows about it. Ian Nepo wore sports shoes, against the dress code, instead of throwing a temper tantrum like carlsen, he actually changed his shoes and competed. Carlsen was already down a point, his worst performance in decades obviously he was mad and decided to withdraw. Same with the hans niemann controversy, he had the longest win streak ever, of course he was mad and had a fit. Especially by some rando (at the time). Same with this, but he could have actually paid the fine and be let off with a warning. Summary: Q: Do you think fide’s dress code is stupid? A: No. Jeans are casual wear, this is very important, they shouldn’t show up with men’s air jordan 4 retro fears and a hoodie, or a crop top and skirt, they should be showing up in suits and dress shoes but oh come on. Jeans are literally business casual. Ripped jeans I would understand though. Q: Do you think Magnus handed the situation poorly? A: Yes. Very. He could have just paid the fine but nope. We have another hans niemann cheating scandal but it’s not about cheating. But considering the age ranges on this site compared to other social medias, I am not surprised that you think complaining makes you the victim.

It's my choice what to do, if you're really gonna call me toxic just because I do not accept friend requests, that is straight-up immature.  You call me yapping? FYI you show attitude to me a lot. So, maybe, keep stuff to yourselves before getting enraged like this. Viroh is a serial abuser, and his reports are baseless. He is also racist, and a harasser. He goes down by the name "Julius Laitinen". He has created over 100+ accounts on chess.com. When he gets banned, every time he comes back with a VPN, and a disposable email, to bypass all restrictions. I've also heard that he's a hacker, he knows things that I didn't even share! Anyways, it looks like he won't stop trolling until Chess.com does something big to stop these trolls. These trolls are affecting genuine players like me. After I stood up to him, he was saying TERRIBLE things about me. He also impersonated me once, and called me a t*rrorist before. If you stand up to him just like I did, the same thing will happen to you.  2. How to spot Viroh: There are many ways to suspect someone if he's Viroh. Viroh does some things that only he does. 1. If the account is made the day you're in.2. If he joins clubs out of nowhere.3. If he says that this is my second account and my second account got banned (impersonating basically). Though there are genuine ways to tell if that's not Viroh. You can ask the person if you know them outside of Chess.com.4. The way he talks is that he Capitalizes the first letter of the first word, and then does EVERYTHING in small (this is his way of typing). For example: "I am in europe not usa."5. If his account is very new and talks rudely. You'll know that this is 100% Viroh.6. How to defend yourself: 1. Ignore the trolls. Once you suspect Viroh, just GET AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD. 2. Just act like you know nothing. If you're already Viroh's biggest enemy (yes I'm his greatest enemy FYI), and he talks rudely about you, act like you know nothing. Be offline, or play games, solve puzzles, do something instead of being on Chess.com for no reason. You can also screenshot his messages if you want.3. Do NOT trust accounts newer than a week. Just don't!4. You can report to mods about this person. I'm always contacting @Staerex, the best mod on chess.com, in PRIVATE LIVE CHAT. People take much longer to respond in messages, so report this account with the link of the username. If his username is similar to your username, send the URL link to the username. Mods will close that account. That's what I did with @KlNGOfBrilliancy and @KingOfBriIIiancy. 4. The Three Sides of Viroh: Viroh has 3 sides to his plans. As if it was 3 people trolling. The first side of Viroh is the most common one: The Abuser. He will abuse and curse a lot when his account is new. He will say disgusting things about you, and tell people to report and ban you for doing something that you never did. Often times he will also edit what you said, so be careful. That's the WHOLE POINT of this forum: Exposing this troll. The second side of Viroh is also common: The Spammer. He will make a new account, and spam A LOT in the live chat. He will also make s*xist posts. The third side of Viroh which is the least common, but began spreading nowadays: The Impersonater. He will make a new account, and try to act like he's not Viroh. He is like the silent killer, where he enters your club and spy on you. 5. Q&A: Q1: When will Chess.com do something serious about it?A1: To be honest, I'm not sure.. I think Chess.com needs to take more action. Q2: When did Viroh start?A2: Viroh's first ever account was from Dec 2019. He began trolling in Feb 2024. Q3: Are Viroh and Xumi (look that up) the same person?A3: I don't think so. They act very differently. If you have more questions, ask me either in this forum or in DMs. Thanks everyone! Please someone explain sandbagging to me in clear terms someone accused me of sandbagging and I want to know whether he's right or not.

Hey everyone! I've been playing for 1-2 years on both chess.com and lichess and I've noticed some improvement needed for chess.com. Note: These are my personal opinions and views. Revamp the messages format - The messages are very buggy and don't update when you send a message if you don't reload it. An option to chat exists but not many people know about it. A simple workaround would be to scrap the existing message system and replace it with the chat system. New Tournaments - Lichess has a lot of tournaments unlike chess.com. They have yearly arenas, shield tournaments, daily tournaments and much more. This is lacking in chess.com Showcase - This feature isn't in Lichess nor Chess.com. I feel like it would be nice to showcase some of your best achievements and trophies directly under your profile so that people could see your achievement. Introduce new and thematic achievements - There is a lot of potential to improve the achievement section. Imagine how cool it would be if you sacrificed a rook and you got an achievement "DA ROOOOOOOOOOK!!!". Add Puzzle members - Like in Lichess you could have puzzles from games played online by chess.com members and could also see the names of these people. Any other suggestions?
