Who is the Chess GOAT? Now this is a heated debate that has been going on ever since Magnus first reigned on the throne of World Champions in 2013. The question is... Who do you think is the best? Why? Back up your claim!Good Luck! I'll start off with my pick (Magnus)
Sorry about this club being fairly inactive. I have been very busy with school and other things. For the first debate in a while, I want to cover Kramnik. Do you guys think he is right about Hikaru? About other titled players, he has pointed out on Twitter? If he is wrong then does he at least have reason to worry about titled players cheating? Are titled cheaters a big worry to chess as a whole? Let me know! Make sure to give your reasoning on why you think the way you think otherwise how would this be a debate club?

Let’s hear this argument begin I start all my games with e4, I never liked d4 I found it too unstable for my style of play.
I've seen some clubs which have a mandatory discussion period before making a move, and some clubs that stick to basics. Those that advocate for it say that it makes sure that a good move is played, and helps lower-rated players learn the why behind each move. Those that oppose it generally say that a discussion period makes players not want to check back, and takes away from the voting aspect of vote chess. What's your opinion? Should we have it... or not? PS: I'll share my opinion after/if some people share.
See most people might say the ruy lopes or the queens gambit. Not me I think the best and most flexible chess opening is the Ponziani opening. Reason 1. After r moves of chess the most commen setup is there reason 2. There are so many mistakes that black can make and it can be a good win reason 3. It’s just fun Cons reason 1. It disables your knight if they know what they are doing reason 2. It can be hard for new players to play it reason 3. Endgames are really annoying
What is the best opening for Black across all levels? What do you guys think? Me personally I have been playing strictly e5 against e4 for the past 300 elo but I have really got into the Caro-Kann. Personally I believe Caro Kann is probably the best opening for black across all levels from 500 - 2800. What are your thoughts?
