I've seen some clubs which have a mandatory discussion period before making a move, and some clubs that stick to basics. Those that advocate for it say that it makes sure that a good move is played, and helps lower-rated players learn the why behind each move. Those that oppose it generally say that a discussion period makes players not want to check back, and takes away from the voting aspect of vote chess. What's your opinion? Should we have it... or not?
