The reason why I made this is because chess.com implements Crazywan Chess such that the captured pieces are unplaceable unless a piece on the board makes its first move. Without the Queen, the strength of the Archbishop and Chancellor really shines through! Also 10x9 board and Shogi-like setup and promotion rule because it is meant for the game to have a “Shogi but it’s on chess.com” vibe

A common theme I discovered is that that most games resulted in a checkmate on either of the "indents" in the royal pawn "box" in the center. It is possible to checkmate from other spaces, however, and this can be used to your advantage if the opponent is focused on the "indents". I apologise if I have accidentally submitted this multiple times, or if something is done incorrectly. I am new to this. Any feedback on the game would be appreciated.

One thing I noticed was that in Do Not Be Captured, there is a high chance that you can draw, however, in this game, you can get a KOTH or check your opponent twice. Originally gonna add regicide but it was forced and too easy to KOTH. Also needed more variety in B&W Wof's. Btw, BFDI setup was not inspired by Rubicon in any way.

Unlike other positions with two different armies, this game uses just the standard team sets (RY vs BG). An important thing to note, though, is that non-royal grasshoppers can checkmate a royal grasshopper at his starting square if he doesn’t move. This means you should leave some holes between your soldiers and the royal grasshopper can jump over to them before jumping over to the hill. Jumping over the hill will require breaking past the defenses around the board (especially captured pieces, which become dead) while giving mount for the grasshopper. The sergeants of each side should first be kept at home to prevent Red’s b10=G-e7-i3 (j2=G-g5-c9 for Blue) before promoting when it’s safer. Instead of always accepting trades, you can bring your archbishops closer to the vulnerable h14-n8 diagonal, where they can play dangerous checks if the camel leaves the guard of them, or block off diagonals for enemy grasshoppers.

There is a new concept: the Red pieces in the center blow up material with an atomic capture at random, though it can mate others a lot. To mate Red himself, you have to give one check to his royal, which can swap sides, by invoking one of the other regular pawns to blow up themselves by capturing one of your pieces and clear the road. Archbishops are most useful for checkmating Red because they can cover both the squares Red’s royal can move to from both sides. Yellow has a larger army to stop Blue and Green from teaming in most cases and try to prevent them from checkmating Red. Checkmating Red is a big thing because Play-4-Mate makes checkmates stand over other moves, it is harder to catch up on points when a 48-point mate is already taken, and Red is full of surprises with its atomic munches.
