Anyone have any history about space? I know a bunch. Like Neil Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon, on July 20th, 1969. During the launch of Apollo 1, a pad fire killed 3 crew members. =( January 2nd 1948 NASA had a program where one teacher was chosen to go to outer space. Seventy-three seconds after launch the ship exploded, leaving no bodies. Not even fingers. I know a lot more, but I am too lazy to type it. What do you know about space history?

When did WW2/World War 2 start ? (Comment when you think it started) It is debated to when WW2 started.

The microwave oven otherwise known as microwave was invented around 1945-1946 by Percy Spencer while he was working at Raytheon. He was experimenting with radar equipment and he had a Mr. Goodbar candy bar in his pocket. The candy bar melted. He found out the magnetron tube melts chocolate. He then experimented with popcorn and then an egg. Then he experimented with other foods. Then the Microwave oven was patented on October 8, 1945.Raytheon produced the Radarange its first Microwave oven in 1947 and it was the first Microwave oven available for commercial use. But it did cost way too much for the average American to buy and was very bulky and heavy. We love this invention called the Dish Washer. But young people usually don't realize how long it would to wash and dry dishes by hand. For they have mostly never done that before. They would find a new found respect for dish washers. Also they would be so happy to have a dish washer. For without one its annoying to clean and dry the dishes.
