The idea behind the virtual chess club is to provide a regular weekly time for members to come together and play live games. Members would also have the opportunity to follow the live games and kibitz as well as participating in post game analysis.
How it might work:
For example only, let's say we have our virtual chess club on Friday evenings at 10pm GMT. Members who are intersted would log into our Kingdom of Fife chat room. Once we get a game or two set up between members we could then post a link or instructions on how to find the game in the live game server. Members who are observing the game would be able to kibitz in the live game chat, and following the game, could also be invited into a post game analysis session.
Anyway, that is the basics of the idea.
So Fifers, is there interest in this kind of activity?
