I noticed that we had a meetup scheduled for the 25th, but as of yet no location had been decided on. I would like to recommend the Providence library on Hope St. They have a club that regularly meets on Saturdays from 12-4, so I believe that it would be convenient for us to have the meetup there.

How to defend against the central pawns on the 7 rank. Siegbert Tarrasch (1862–1934) stated the "rule" that rooks should be placed behind passed pawns – either yours or your opponent's. However, he's later quoted as saying, "Always put the rook behind the pawn.... Except when it is incorrect to do so." This is one of those expections. .

These are most of the US state teams along with their Match Play and Vote Chess Points. For a team that just started, we are doing pretty good with 100 Match Play Point. Out of 50 states we rank around 20th place. This is not an all inclusive list but we will continually track out success and add more teams to this list, such as city teams and regjonal team. I was thinking of replacing or adding to our discription, a team's motto in reference to an achor, such as: We may be small but we hold it down We are the anchor team of chess.com We may be small but we can handle the weight What do you guys think? Any other suggestion?

I created Team Rhode Island to position RI as a force to be reckoned in the world of Chess.com. Membership consist of Rhode Islanders and friends; however, players that claim Rhode Island as it's location are automatically promoted to the administrative level. Group admins have special privileges that regular members of the group do not have, including: editing group settings and info adding a theme to a group (background image and colors) creating, accepting, viewing team Vote Chess and Team Matches sending invitations for membership approving applications for membership managing the access levels of other group members (Super Admins only) deleting forum and new comments sending messages to all members of the group I take care of the administrative functions highlighted in red so please leave those alone. Do not send an invitations for membership to someone you do not know, unless they are from Rhode Island. Currently, our membership consist of about 50% Rhode Islanders. Is the percentage important? Should we set a percentage of how many Rhode Islanders the team should have? Personally, I don't think it's important; after all, how many Red Sox come from Boston. What do you guys think?
