Weeklypuzzles

turn

From the first of August onwards, I'll be posting puzzles for everyone in the Red Army group every week. The puzzles will come in the form of news/messages, which means you won't find it in the forums. There will be 5 puzzles per week:

The first puzzle is Very Easy.

The second puzzle is Easy.

The third puzzle is Normal.

The fourth puzzle is Hard.

The fifth puzzle is very Hard.

Now, these puzzles are obtained from all over the Internet and I made up only some, so if you come across familiar ones, count your lucky stars, you've got one less puzzle to solve  out of fiveWink. Also, this means we will have our own "Daily Puzzle" section! We'll put dailypuzzle the staff out of a job!

This forum was created for:

  • any comments on the puzzles posted weekly
  • any ideas or suggestions on how the puzzles could be presented, for example the colour of the board, the size of the board, 3D or 2D etc.
  • a trip down memory lane(mainly, checking out previous puzzles posted)

Also, if you have any puzzles, feel free to send a message to me with the puzzle! I will categorize it into its right category and don't worry, I will make sure to give all the credit to you! What's more, if you send me 5 puzzles, I'll give you a trophy! How's that? Laughing That means if you give me 30 puzzles, you get 6 trophies!

Quoting VuduChile,

we play (puzzles) in the Theater of Dreams.

And for the uninitiated, ask VuduChile (he'll tell you eagerly!).

If you want to check out the previous puzzles posted here,

here it is.

These are the 125 puzzles prepared just for the fellow supporters of the world's greatest football team ever. May Manchester United forever be the Red Devil of the world's greatest sport ever introduced! Nope, not chess, although it comes close to it. You know what it is. Oh yes, you know.

Now go out there and show the world the power of chess puzzles and football!

Manchero

Just seen the first puzzles...nice job:)

I wanted to do all of the puzzles, but in case some people only want to do the easy or hard ones, what about colour coding the boards in line with the colours you used in your introduction; Very Easy, Easy, etc.?

doubleblade29

the hard ones lived up to its billing! lol

good job, sir.... keep 'em coming...

Manchero

We are looking to add lots of various puzzles of different levels and areas of the game, to benefit all the members of the groupSmile

Thanks for puzzles keep them coming. You can solve the hard and very hard one in other ways but these are the best ways.

Manchero

jooe15, we are not a group where comments along the lines of 'first' and 'easy' are welcome, since they add no value to the group. If you actually find all of the puzzles to be easy, I expect to see your rating rise from 1480 to 1800 very quickly since you must be hugely under rated. No spam in this group thank you.

On a more constructive and positive note, the reason I came along in the first place; Turn, I just thought that some members may enter this forum hoping to find the puzzles here, so would it be possible to edit the initial post at the top of the page, providing the links to your puzzle pages, i.e;

puzzles-for-week-4

and then as we have more and more puzzles, it will serve as an easily navigated menu too.

turn

Hmm.....Manchero, do you mean I post the links to the puzzles in my initial post so that they can see the puzzles straight from here? Well, that isn't half bad......okay, but can I wait until week 6? Then there'll be more puzzles for people to navigate to.......

arnoldeast

Everyone!!

I'd like to hear your opinion on this:

I am thinking of having weekly chess positions from openings, middlegames and endgames. In these positions, you find what, in your opinion, is the best move and state why. I will provide what I think is the best move which I will play. This can stimulate our chess brain cells and help us analyse and understand positions better. This is also known as positional puzzles.

What do you think?
