2017 West Orange Chess Club Mohan Nayak Memorial Tournament

5 round Swiss System

Game 75 + 30 second increment added after every move

If a clock with increment or delay isn't available (only an analog clock is available for example) the time control is Game 105 (time control of Game 75 + not used per move increment of 30).  And if a clock only with delay but no increment is available the time control is Game 100 with 5 second delay before every move (Game 105 minus 5 minutes due to the inclusion of the 5 second delay).

So the mandatory order based on clock availability is:  1. increment (Game 75 with 30 second increment added after every move) 2. delay (Game 100 with 5 second delay before every move) 3. neither increment or delay (Game 105).

If one cannot make a round due to a "last minute" occurrence please send an email to both bryan6872@aol.com and buickchess@gmail.com as soon as possible.  Also please call head tournament director John Hagerty at 973-736-3433 as soon as possible.  If there is no answer then please leave John a message.  If we are not informed by the expected pairing time of 7:45 (email can be checked right before pairing and John can check his messages right before pairing) then it might be too late to avoid being paired and a forfeit loss will have to be issued.

The tournament committee reserves the right to enact whatever changes and modifications it deems necessary for the efficient and fair running of this event and other future competitions.
