You said you closed on September 2. Then opened on September 6…..that’s not really a “long” time. And if you don’t really give a reason as to why your closing, more than half the time the person is just looking for attention. Plus there’s something called, “not logging on”. If you don’t plan on getting on chess.com in a while, don’t close it, just log off account and log back on when you want to. No one take offense to this but I don’t give dam whether someone closes their account or not. It’s not like it was involuntary or they didn’t have a choice. They wanted to close. So why be sad about.

Before this “trend” bubbled up. If there was a well known person on the forums, and closed his/her account (and actually closed it and never returned). That would be sentimental and heartbreaking. Even if I didn’t know the person personally, I’d still be empathetic towards others who did, and in return, also feel bad. 

but that was before tiktok ruined good music and people started trying to look for attention by ‘closing their accounts’.

At least it isn’t as bad as the split personality disorder trend that was happening with anime fans and things like that. I hope that still isn’t happening.

As far as "nobody-likes-you-anyway", I've seen no evidence of that in all of the post forums where I've commented, so it just must be TROLLS like you who would say that to anybody! You're probably one of the plethora of junk-talkers on this site who have no real game and rely on verbal abuse during CHAT in a game to whittle their opponent's time down and win  that way, since trolls like you can't win any other way! Who the F are you anyway? Have we played in a game or games before where either you talked ---- during CHAT or you lost and were a sore loser or I didn't  give you a rematch (wasn't able to, more like, because of the many time constraints on my time)...???!!!!
