How to deal with tilt

1. if your rating went up all of a sudden, and then went back down, atleast it went up am I right? This is a glimpse of your potential if you polish your skills. Better for your confidence to know you are a 1700 with a 1900 peak, meaning that much potential ATLEAST, than being a 1700 with a 1700 peak.

2. if you randomly tilt after playing consitent chess and staying in the same rating range for a while, don't stress it, if you go back to doing what you used to do to prepare, you know what you are capable of.

Suggestion

1. lose the need to grind blitz or bullet because tilting and losing a lot of points is easy. If you feel you are out of form, just stop playing that time control for some time or just take a break.

2. Before each game, remind yourself what time control you are playing so you don't have affect from your classical to bullet or bullet to classical.

If your rating  went up all of a sudden... quit while you're ahead.

Very true. Also the most common advice that could be given by any-type of player.

If you've got a tool like "Cheesbase" (but also without it), you can do yearly stats on your games. Then, you can also do it by colour and by openings, and by rating (of your opponents) range. Out of which, you can learn lots about your strong and weak points, and choose a strategy to perform better in overall, by seeing what tilts and other such things will hide from you.

Yeah, definitely, great advice.
