I reached 2200 bullet! I can now peacefully quit!

Wow, well done.
Bullet can be very addicting because it is so convenient and it’s an opportunity to experiment on new things.
I find there are more tactical opportunities in bullet over say rapid.

Wow! Congratulations on a notable achievement! I've never played bullet on my cardiologist's recommendation.

Totally! Incidentally I played my best bullet game yesterday! I found an incredible tactic: Feel free to check it out

That was an excellent find! Starting it off with the Greek gift.
You are are on another level then us but it's a nice preview. I get those tactical shots in my 2000 puzzles.
I recently quit bullet to slow things down to focus on studying the middle game and end game where I can create tactical opportunities or convert winning positions. I would prefer to take a tactical win over a slow squeeze win any day. Even blitz is still too fast for me. It's remarkable people play so fast and always fun to watch!

Ur not gonna quit, ur addicted. Unless maybe there's a bullet chess anonymous u can join or some type of chess 12 step program.

Could you please explain what is a bullet chess anonymous and chess 12 step program?

Does anyone have any experience with bullet addictions?
Telling myself to quit never worked for me lol
said I’d quit once I hit 2200 rapid, took three months to get it back.
said I’d quit once I got 2200 bullet but nah
said I’d quit at 2300 bullet- this is my most successful attempt, it lasted two weeks.
said I’d quit at 2300 blitz but that didn’t happen either, so now I’m down 160 points from yesterday.

My bullet addiction usually comes and goes, with me playing it a lot in the span of a few months before I get tired of it and stop playing for a while.

There's a program called Alcoholics Anonymous that uses a 12 step program to help people to stop drinking booze. I think that 12 step idea/program has been used to help other addictions too.
I was expanding the idea to chess addiction too.

I try to tell myself to quit bullet when I hit 2k, but I'm too greedy, I want more. Now I'm at 1800.

No bullet addiction for me; I have enough trouble playing blitz lol.
Congratulations on 2200 bullet rating on chess.com though

I tried to quit bullet but came back and then tilted 200-
I tilted 200 blitz points in two days
It took over 4000 bullet games to finally reach 2200! I am so happy now! Tip: never start to play bullet. I hope that reaching 2200 will finally stop my bullet addiction.
