I'm sure chess.com will get there before 2020, and I'm sure mrbeast will hit 50m subs pretty much at the same time

How long will it take for that number to reach 50,000,000?
Currently, about 110,000 people are joining chess.com each day, so if we do some quick math calculations... that gives me about 20 days.

Hay, I think you missed the fact that probably several thousand members close their accounts daily. Or even more.

Sigh... but I don’t think there’s a way to find out how many accounts are closed
You could read the YTD Month in Review to estimate the number of chess.com initiated closures this month, but that doesn’t account for self-closures (the bulk of it)
