Nice to see the EraRetro Tal set on display. Is the plan to have the other sets displayed in time? Great to see the chess themed painting.

Gotta' say I am really sorry for the crummy positioning of the photos.I had my son in law help with this and for some reason my phone would not allow proper positioning.Over time I hope to get this all sorted out and show more stuff.
In his defense we were attempting to do this with my 4 year old grand daughter vying for my attention,along with her 9 year old brother wanting to play indoor catch. Not easy to be technical under those conditions.
The wife could care less about my hobby/addictions,unless I'm spending more money.
She is a gem and respects my idiosyncratic hobbies.
I should have been more specific about the Tal set under the acrylic cover.It was from EraRetro.
The Noj set is also a Tal set....It's the one with the new Knights and dark stain.....I am surprised at how long a wait it is to get one now.Sheesh! I can only imagine how costly it must be today.
Yup! As long as I don't get flamed for my lack of tech skills,I'll be posting more down the road.

Oh,Lighthouse.....The labels are additional sets in coffers/boxes and the description of what's inside.I did this so that my family knows what I own,so that they can either sell it,or keep it when I kick the bucket. I've got more sets and quite a few books that I have not shown.....I'm pretty chessed up.-
Wow! you were able to post photos! Congrats! I love the collection of sets in nice coffers. Everything is so well organized. I really like it. The acrylic case is nice. How come you didn't buy a black or wood base for it? Also, the board under the case is beautiful. Is it from CB?

MCH.....I saw no need for a black base under anything.The board was bought from C.B. 3 years ago and luckily is flawless. I love platform boards. Got it for $169 on sale.

I think if you stick with taking landscape orientation (horizontal) photos you should be golden with posting photos on the forum. The forum won't auto-rotate them.
@magictwanger Kate currently only offers the Tal set with a 11.5cm (4.5in) King. Is that what you have under the acrylic? It must look mighty impressive and stunning in person.

I believe that is what I own from Kate.I'd have gone for the glossy look,if they were available then.No biggie.
Sheesh! I just took a look at her new stuff.....Really impressive! I remember her being a supremely nice seller.....One of my Bishops came in cracked and when I told her,she was truly apologetic and sent out a new one asap....No questions asked or photos of the issue needed.

It is beautiful as it stands. $169?! It is like winning the lottery. Very nice!
Btw, I always felt Kate's stuff on Etsy was a little dark for the white pieces. Your Tal set looks just right.

Hi folks....my first attempt to post some of my collection,so sorry for the sub par aesthetic.
The set under the acrylic is a Tal set,bought from Kate on Etsy.
Eventually I'll get around to showing more.
