Introduction to Algorithms by CLRS will help you understand the basics. From there, i'd recommend applying to Google's Alpha Zero team.
Agree with above: Pachman, Modern chess strategy. (or his multivolume series). If you play d4 then Sokolov, Winning chess middlegames is great.

I have been having a hard time figuring out which chess books I should buy to improve my chess. Would anybody be able to kindly recommend me some books? Below are my ratings for each category on this website in case it helps to inform any recommendations

Blitz: 1400
Bullet: 1400
Puzzles: 2100
I think my biggest weakness is my positional play.
