I believe this is one of the best tactics book for starting out player. Pleasant to read book, and the tactical examples are of great diversity.

Yeah, just flipping page won't do you any good. You must have an effort to solve each problems.

I agree. There are lots of good tactics books out there and this one is hard to complain about. Lots of examples of positions. After this, Learn Chess Tactics by John Nunn is a good read.
