@TheSultan31003 - Dominoes! Thanks for that insight. I managed to find lots of similar tables by searching for domino tables. Seems like dominoes is practically a national pastime in the Dominican Republic. Many of those tables are seen with holes on each corner to hold beer - another useful feature especially when playing blitz!

Need your help. So I found a series of street chess photos from Santo Domingo of Dominican Republic and wondered what this particular style of chess table is, as it seems to be unique to that country. It has wooden borders surrounding the chess board to separate the active pieces from captured ones and a small retaining wall to the side to keep the clock from sliding off the table. Kind of neat, I think. Thanks in advance!
