Looking for a good chess computer

That does not come plugged into a chess board, I have my own board and would like a computer without a board that I can use with my own board.

Do any of these exist?

A portable chess computer which does not come with a board....not a desktop computer.

I own this product and I recommend it .  Its really good and handy, I take it where ever I go. The board it comes with, is also handy to play with another person as well. I use it as an analysis board.

If you want something 'deluxe' you could always get a cheap Palm device (like the Z22) and install HIARCS.  See likesforests's review for details.  That's what I've got and I love using it both to play against (usually using a wooden set as well) and to easily record OTB games with friends.

I agree with DeepGreene..... I did exactly that. After reading the review by Likesforests and comparing features I went with the Palm Hiarcs option.
