I've got one I've never used you can have for free.
Mouse.

It may sound odd, but for me, a computer mouse is a very personal opinion from one person to another. That being said, a mouse that appeals to one individual, may not necessarily appeal the same way to another, etc.
If it's an option, my advice to you would be to go into a store and see them in person if you can. The size of the mouse, connectivity (wired or wireless), and whether or not you care about any RGB options, are some factors that may affect your decision, as well as the obvious, the price.
I use the Razer DeathAdder V2 by Razer. It's tailored/marketed towards people that play computer games, but I primarily bought it because it lights up and matches my keyboard and mousepad, so they're all the same colour. It was replaced by the Razer DeathAdder V3.
@Derek-C-Goodwin What brand/model of mouse do you currently use? And how long have you had your current one?
Also, I forgot to mention, based on my experience, if you can wait a bit of time to buy a new mouse, I think the best time to buy one in terms of lower price (on sale items, etc.) might be around Black Friday/Cyber Monday, which unfortunately isn't until around the end of November. Or maybe end of August/early September some retailers may have back to school savings on mice because of students returning to their studies. Just an idea!
Good luck in your search for a mouse!

I got a USB Logitech M90 a few months ago, it's pretty simple but good so far and not slow.
i have the same one :0
Any basic mouse from a good brand would do the job done. You can check stores of Dell, HP, Logitech. But it came out of a surprise to see a thread titled "Mouse" on a chess forum that led me to open it and then I realized why it was here!

my friend gave me a very nice wireless mouse, which I have for my laptop now. for my pc i like hard wired, I got a 7 button combrite mouse, it was £11 and seems very nice, feels good in the hand.

@Derek-C-Goodwin Congrtulations on getting a mouse for your computer! Sounds like an exciting adventure.
I need a new mouse (not a wireless or super fangled gaming mouse) Just a mouse with two buttons and a scroller. The only game I play is chess. I have 15-20 pounds sterling. I am on windows 11 pro. ITs for rapid and blitz.
Any ideas?
