We were using the Android app, I believe.

I see the new revised version on the Tap N Set. I am informed it had firmware revisions. You can tell the new clocks as they now come in color.

I do not get any remuneration for posting this. HOS/USCF carries the clock and I am to understand it is the "official USCF" clock. There is plenty of discussion on this clock designated the "official" cook on the USCF.org web site under forums if you wish to read them.  It looks like a pretty good clock for the price but I haven't ordered one yet. I might break down on the next big sale. Still wish it showed HR/MIN/SEC above 100 minutes but that would entail doing a whole new model.

Who told you it has firmware revisions?

By the way, the clock only shows seconds below 60 minutes, not 100 minutes.

Thanks for the info. Do you know what firmware revisions took place?  Do you also feel $49.95 is a good price for what you get vs other clocks in the same range? My wholesale chess clock shows seconds even at 40/120 and it was about $35 when they introduced it. Advanced Digital Game Timer it is called and is a super clock fr the features it has.

Of all the features of a clock I would think the enlarged display as in the standard Chronus or the inexpensive clock I bought above would be one of the first on people's list but I am the only one who mentions it so I guess not seeing seconds is no big deal. I guess I just always liked to see the seconds. Maybe not seeing them above 60 min will let me keep my eye on the clock more.

"The only issue I have with mine is that it doesn’t sit flush with the table."

Why not remove the four 3/8" circular little feet and use a belt sander to level it off?

I am very disappointed in this clock. Many times when you touch the button to start your opponent’s clock it doesn’t work. Sometimes you have to touch it 5 or 6 times, sometimes it goes the first time you touch it. That is no good in a tournament

They had a bad batch of these clocks with that issue. Just contact the manufacturer and they will get it fixed for you.

My Tap N Set clock still has issues. Can I send it back to get fixed?

This is a great clock that can use a little upgrading. Trust me, I know. I have 2 clocks in development right now. one to come out in January and one later in the spring.

What this clock needs is a slight upgrade to the on/off switch and the reset button. Do these 2 changes and this will be one of the best on the market.

The nice thing about ZMF clocks is the guy (Roberto) that makes them is a very good person. He stands behind his products. He has a very cool job (making clocks is NOT his full time job) and a great family.

Thanks,

Shelby Lohrman
