My answer with pictures ;-).
I don't have any preferences for clocks.
That’s a great looking set (Ultimate), with good reviews on Chess House!
Is that on a 2.25 or a 2.38 inch sq. Vinyl Board?

Only one set, that’s just crazy, but for years that is all kept, selling my other sets. The set I kept I’ve had since high school, close to fifty years loyal service.

The Drueke no.35 is my sentimental favorite it doesn’t see the light of day very often.
Tough one! I'd say this undestructible set
like that one. what set it is?
That's size 6 Chavet. The same set but size 5 was used for the WCC 2000 match between Kramnik vs Kasparov.
Why do you think that the pieces used in the Kramnik - Kasparov was size 5? That sound really, really weird taking into account that the recommended size of the FIDE is number 6.
Either this old set with a board that folds and in which the pieces - traditional swedish model - are stored...
...or my travel set with tournament sized, unweighted but solid, plastic pieces and a mouse pad style roll up mat.
I stumbled upon this discussion in my research for my tournament sized set, to hopefully prepare for my first OTB tournament in 40 years! I'm sold on the Chess House Flex board, largely after reading EyeChess' post on it elsewhere. Now to pair the plastic pieces, I have it narrowed down to the Reykjavik II Series (3.75" King w/1.65" base) and the Fischer Ultimate V3 (same specs). I was also considering the Fischer Ultimate selling at USCF, but it's got 3.75"/1.75" which seems too tight a fit for me on a 2.25" square. Can EyeChess or anyone else comment on the Reykjavik II? I know that the Reykjavik weighs 36 oz, and the V3 Fischer is nearly 62 ounces.
@schlechter_2020, I've encountered chipped pawn collars and loose weights for the Reykjavik pieces, which are used at my club regularly in tournaments. They're fairly nice, but I enjoy the premium look, feel, weight, and durability of the Ultimate v3 pieces much more.
Regarding your square size concern for the latter, they're well paired with 2.25" squares, and perfectly meet USCF and FIDE regulations. I regularly use them on a 2.125" square vinyl board with a trimmed border, but I wouldn't deviate any further.
The impossible thread … sometime back @MCH818 asked me about my top 5 and I still haven’t been able to whittle it down … my original answer in this thread has been usurped - 1 year on.
My Henri Chavet No.4 … or the Sandor Biro … or the 1950’s Dub repro … what about the GM Blitz …
I can’t do it….. the madman runs screaming into the darkness of the night … “Don’t make me choose but one ….” 🤦♂️😄
and to be a heretic… how can you ask me to leave behind my Mourne Lewis pieces … 😲
very nice chess set madmacsback
