I think they are already out of the business. If you look at the Saitek website, you can't find the word chess or clock mentioned anywhere. I know it is the right site, because I found a manual buried deep inside the website.
Saitek clocks discontinued?

Whole Sale Chess would know if anyone knows since they keep right on top of things. Seems like it ia hard for anyone to make a buck at selling chess clocks. DGT has the lower to middle market pretty much and CHronos has no more challengers in the upper market as the Garde web site in Germany shows all digitals out of stock for a long long time. So I guess they aren't making anymore and whatever distributor has any left they sure are soaking the retailers who in turn have to pass it on to the customer. Their top Turnier model is now $159.95 rediculous.
Pity, their clocks are better than the ZMF around the same price. The ZMF is terrible for tournament play.

What do you consider the lower end DGT? Is the N/A model in that. SOmeone is selling the 2010 model for 59.97 delivered. Not a lot of diffeence between the two except one you can hook up to the board if you had one.
ZMF is the only LED right now. I think a few years from now they will all be LED as that is the future.
The lower end DGT are the DGT Easy line, I would say the NA is mid range, it's a good clock but I don't like the way it does not show you the delay time, so I prefer the bronstein delay in the regular 2010. The XL model is the one you hook up to their eboard. There 2 versions of the 2010 around, the one with blue buttons is the latest revision, the differences between the 2 can be found online.

I agree that it doesn't show the seconds tick off on gthe delay but using mostly a 5 second delay tha doesn't bother me as much as not showing seconds below 20 minutes, that does bug me. My next clock should have the seconds show at least below 60 minutes left.

Pity, their clocks are better than the ZMF around the same price. The ZMF is terrible for tournament play.
Just out of curiosity, what is it you hate about the ZMF? Is it the flashing light countdown?

well hate is a harsh word. It's an ok clock for blitz and kids. Basically it comes down to the very very limited display, shows nothing but time. This might explain why they show the delay by flashing the delay time and current time back and forth which is nauseating, it also switches the display for a second or two to show the move counter after every move. Also it has a forced move counter that adds the secondary time control to the primary after reaching the move limit, so you have to be very careful of having that move counter 100% precise. Again with the limited display there isn't much to do, there is no way to know what period each player is in anyways, so without the counter it might even be worse.
Wholesale Chess is saying the saitek clocks have been discontinued. Anybody have more info on this? Are they coming out witha new clock or getting out of the game clock business?
