Two major books on Caruana are just about to be released.

First we have the New In Chess book on Caruana written by Alexander Kalinin. And then there is the Everyman Chess book on Caruana written by Cyrus Lakdawala. Both books cover his best games.

Caruana - Move By Move and Fabiano Caruana His Amazing Story and Most Instructive Chess Games.

I've been waiting patiently for a book on this exciting player and like buses two pop up at once!

I've received my two books. They are great. I figured there would be books on Caruana released eventually and the sooner the better. He is such a great player.

The Move By Move book is better. It has more games and has greater analysis. It is thicker by 100 pages.

The book on the WC Match this year should be good. Wonder what authors are looking to write one. I am sure there will be more than one to choose from. If Fabi wins you can bet there will be many of them.

Well, since he is about to play in a World Championship match, the interest in his games will soon be very high! Of course, it will be even higher afterwards if he wins.

But, unfortunately, despite him being an American, I doubt that he will stimulate the kind of resurgence in interest in Chess in the United States that Fischer did.

Even if he never becomes WC I think he will always be remembered as one of the all time greats. Like Ivanchuk, Bronstein and Larsen.

What resurgence in interest? Today everybody either plays or watches chess (or both). In Fischer's time, chess was the sport of an elite clique. It was very rare for a father to get his kid to a chess club unless he was a chess player himself. What happened back then with Fischer can never be repeated.

That is true Deirdreskye. I grew up then and had to take a bus to get to a chess tournament while my parents had a car, they did not care. Chess before Fischer was nothing like it is today after Fischer.

Whether a chess player liked Bobby Fischer or not one cannot argue in the slightest what he did forever for chess. He created the base of parents that would in the next generation teach their kids chess and take them to chess clubs and tournaments.
