The Leningrad pieces look very nice, especially the Knights. But I wonder about the Bishops. They don’t look bad, but I wonder why they don’t have the onion dome seen on many Russian churches. It would seem that the Leningrad set would be more “Russian” if the Bishops had tops using that kind of shape. I wouldn’t expect the Bishop to have the spiral effect, just the general shape. As an example of a Bishop already in use, see the Classic Series pieces at House of Staunton (link below). It’s not a Russian named or themed set, but the Bishop has a Russian design to me.
