Hello guys, I currently have been struggling at OTB chess my USCF regular is only 758.  I have been blundering simple mate in 1's just because of how tall the queen is, and the other 3D pieces.  Pls give me tips.

Theres no one fix, but maybe just playing more otb would help a ton. one thing you can try is setting up a real board at home and playing your online games on it. yes, you’ll have to move both sides yourself, but it really may help you get used to the physical pieces and the 3D perspective, doing puzzles on a real board is great too, it may train your eyes to spot tactics the same way you would in an actual game? thats all ive got

Practice 1 endgame everyday by putting the endgame into analysis and see how it’s done (this will let you know your endgames), and study midgames and endgames more than openings, but have one opening in response to every opening your opponent can play and check maybe you may have blundered and learn chess notations and try to put them mentally so that you can remember where pieces are and blunder less. I know this is a lot but I recommend to start with the no blundering part then the opening part, midgame part, and the endgame part in order.

I know this is not for over the board but just play over the board to practice.
