tactics trainer became easier on new chess.com?!

My tactics trainer rating was about 1800-1950 for many months, and suddenly within a few days I'm in the 2130 range and going up. So either I was touched by caissa or more likely there are many new overrated problems added... Does anyone else suddenly go up in tac.trainer rating on new chess.com...? please say no so I feel good about myself

Thank you..

They announced that they were going to change the rating scheme so that you don't lose points if you solve a problem but take too long. It's hard to believe that just that would make such a difference in your rating. Perhaps there were other changes too.

2176 now... it's just weird. I mean I like it and all, just hard to believe it's all me..

My TT rating is also climbing and I'm sure it's because of the change in the algorithm. I always used to try to ignore rating points and concentrate on pass rate. So I used to lose lots of points for problems where I got it right but took a long time. Now I get minimum +1 every time I get one right, regardless of time. So my rating is going up and, surprise surprise, my pass rate is also going up. I guess I wasn't ignoring the clock as much as I thought I was!

Well, after 14450 puzzles you should finnaly be above 2 000, don't you think?

But agree some puzles are simply overrated when you cross ~2000. But there are also many underrated super hard impossible to see puzzles in 1100-1700 range - some zunzwangs , stalemate ideas , underpromotion etc and they stay low rated, becouse first 2-3 moves everybody can see, but not rest.

I believe you israelian  players are generally good...so

AIM-AceMove. I spent so long in the same rating band that I must have done all the problems in that band and because I had solved all the easy ones I was only getting the super-hard ones and new ones. Frown I could have reset TT but I was determined to break out of that band without having to do that. I seem to have done that now if I can avoid plunging back into the abyss. A lot of the problems I was getting wrong were the ones where there were decent alternatives. e.g. Mate in 2 instead of mate in 1. Otherwise I guess I'm just a bit slow. I only play correspondence chess (and vote chess) so I don't worry about being slow. Whereas I see that your (very high!) rating is based on Live Bullett. It's a different game and the way TT was set up previously, the algorithm heavily favoured speed over accuracy (IMHO).

You never know, I may also make it to 2000+ !!! (I doubt it!)

I agree. After stagnating in the 1500-1600 range for a year, I've gone up to 1700 in the last month, yet my rating doesn't change on chesstempo.

i got 2150.. hm. but i dont think it got easier, i think i just improved. Ofc there are some 1 moves tactic that most of you just fail and thats why their ratings is so high. But i'm  Doing a lot of study & practice. Soon 2200+
