 I encountered this defense in some live blitz games.  It took me into some strange positions.  I now use it as in bullet games in the live room and am scoring farely well.

 I ran some engine tournaments for the openings 1.d4 b5 and 1.Nf3 b5.  Interesting stuff.  To see all the games in a pgn viwer go to http://www.hangingpawn.com/
