 1.e4 e5

2.exd5 Nd7

I think 2...Nd7 is possibly better than 2...Qxd5 because after 3.Nc3 you don't have  many options. You have to move your queen to a5 or d6 or d8 or e7.

Yeah, black doesn't really need that extra knight anyway...

Just like in this thread, you are dropping a piece in the opening, which will lose the game.
