The next (white and black) move is also straightforward:
Now there are 2 optimal white moves: 3. c4 and 3. d4.

For Stockfish (depth=20) both knight moves are suboptimal. So, this seems to be a 2-acute position. It means that there are 2 optimal moves separated by a sufficiently big gap from suboptimal ones.

Yes , that is the problem when you don't understand chess and you expect answers from Stockfish.
Stockfish doesn't know that after 1.e4 Nf6 2.e5 Nd5 the "suboptimal" 3.Nf3 simply transposes to 3...d6(Black has nothing better) 4.d4 which is main line.
When U'll attend 2000+ in the live or correspondence chess without cheating, U could possibly pretend that I don't understand chess. Contrary to U, I acknowledge that strong engines are smarter than me, even in openings.
DeirdreSkye: Sure that I regularly commit both mistakes and blunders otherwise I'd be an engine. However, I have a quite good ratio, something between 50% or 60%, of excellent moves. It means that my intuitive understanding of chess is good enough. Also, let speak IM poucin for himself. He's a big boy despite the name of his avatar.
DeirdreSkye: Who doesn't understand the chess here ?!? 3. Nf3 doesn't lead to a simple transition / transposition cuz black will play 3...c5 to prevent it.

Correct. Poucin criticizes a lot across many forums (mine included). Nothing constructive.
Don't worry about these fools... please.
It's already an effort to write a book. DeirdreSkye is probably Mr. World (from American Gods), he speaks again for everybody. Some players can find useful to read an analysis of blitz games and why not ?!?
DeirdreSkye: Have U watched American Gods? These recent (2017) TV series are kinda funny pseudoreligious arthouse.
Dude with your rating you really shouldn't play Alekhine's Defense. Even good players have trouble with it because it ...just....sucks.....

In my experience, up to the rating 2000, U can start with almost everything (I often use the generator of random integers ). In addition, if someone is comfortable with hypermodern openings (the modest development waiting to strike from back ranks) then Aleknine defense is suitable too.

At least i am respectful, while u should need to learn good manners...
I always follow Alekhine's Defense when I play with the Dark pieces and my opponent opens with
1. e2-e4. I have a few questions about lines under Alekhine's Defense and would like to have a discussion with people about a few lines I would like to understand better If anyone would like to share, please do
So far we have seen some different input regarding the opening, but you said that you would like to have a discussion with people about a few lines you would like to understand better. Well it would make sense if you said which lines you would want to understand better, so people can discuss those lines.
From the comments I've read, IM poucin is interesting, polite, knowledgeable and constructive -- qualities which are often in short supply on chess.com.
I find it curious that solid participants like IM poucin and batgirl get accused of things which make no sense to me.
Thanks IM poucin!

Guy got a rating of 1000 that is not someone that should be playing Alekhine's Def.

Yeah you're breaking way too many conventional rules to play this opening well when you'd be better off playing things that allow you to just get all your pieces out and castle.
That being said, I think the "easiest" way is the main line.
At least this way you can just focus on getting your pieces out.
