"anglo-slav" setup

I was using lichess opening explorer looking for a good defence against d4 and found out the c6 d6 setup

it has pretty high win rate for black - 50-56%. Pretty big number.

I tried to look up some theory online but found nothing. Literally nothing. Does anyone even know about this opening? The position above was played only 15 000 times...

So d6 Nf6 c6 is the Czech Variation in the OID and the Pirc. However, c6 d6 is a mistake. The move c6 actively harms your development if you aren’t immediately playing d5 afterwards or if White isn’t immediately playing d5 afterwards as the pawn on c6 does nothing but block your b8 knight’s best square and waste a tempo early.
So I have two questions. Firstly, why not just play the Slav with 1… c6? Secondly, why is this your anti-London when c6 Qb6 is already an established anti-London?

I have almost the same question. It looks way too dubious, but still scores extremely well for black. That's why i decided to ask people about it

Realistically there’s a good chance that its high win rate is more due to the average ELO of the games played in that opening being FAR lower than normal, because good players wouldn’t play that. Because of that the significance of the high win rate is negligible.

i just filtered only 1800+ games and got 51% for black. It doesn't seem right...

1800 Lichess = 1300 Chess.com = 1000 OTB. Rating inflation on that site goes CRAZY. There’s no point in looking at the stats for anything but 2500+/Master’s for rapid and classical if you want to see objective strength.

1800 lichess is more like 1500 chess.com. But ye rating inflation goes nuts 🌰 🥜 🔩
