Thx I appreciate it. I'll look into these
I used to play the scotch gambit for a while, and players within 1000-1400 rating range, have very limited knowledge how to counter it. It was the most effiecient opening I ever used, with a win rate of aprox 70%. I stopped using in just because I wanted to learn other openings.
For it to work, is should be analyzed before using it. I learn it within 10 moves deep and its variations.
That's about it. I just want an aggressive position. Not aiming for anything trappy but something nice and aggressive would be cool.
funny agressive gambits rep
the smith morra is a pawn sacrifice where white gets a ton of development and usually pushes with e5 and breaks everything open and wins
evans gambit offers a major developmental advantage for white to attack
karpov gambit is an extremely sharp line where white gives up a knight for play (he will get his knight back no matter what) and white here is typically better
I will be incredibly suprised if black manages to come out with that much of a tenacious defense in Morra, at that level.
Smith morra Gambit is absolute mayhem if you know the theory well. Just check out Marc Essarman's yt channel and you'll see how crazy the positions are sacrifices everywhere.
The Blackmar-Diemer Gambit isn't the most respectable but it has quite a lot of venom. Aside from a few traps (notably the famous Halosar Trap), it also allows white to get his/her pieces out very quickly and coordinate them well, as well as pile up pressure on open or semi-open d, e and/or f files. Against players of 1600+ it probably isn't that great, except perhaps in bullet and faster blitz controls, but at around 1200 it seems to be quite effective. Here are a couple of examples from 30 minute rapid where I played the BDG as white in guest mode.
The Evans Gambit is the greatest true gambit.
You can also try the Urusov Gambit. Another great gambit.
I've had a lot of success with the Vienna Gambit, 1. e4 e5 2. Nc3 Nf6 3. f4. If they take, you just completely overrun the game and get a completely winning position from the opening, which is definitely saying something. If they know what they're doing with 3... d5, you're still going to be completely fine. I recommend you watch some videos on it, it's definitely a good one to look into. I only switched because after 2... Nc6, the positions are extremely boring and bland, and it's disappointing because Nc6 is generally a bit more common than Nf6.
I've seen a lot of people recommending the Scotch Gambit, which is funny because I play the Scotch Game, yet I have no idea how to play the gambit. I might try it sometime and see if it's as good as people say it is.
