I meant - Is there a particular opening which improves your position further in the game, by experience?

If you mean a non-flashy opening that gives a last advantage then the Queen's gambit can be recommended. The Ruy Lopez could as well, but most lower rated black players play the sicilian or some form of Pirc or have no idea what they're doing.

Yes, the Queens Gambit is a very solid opening that is great for classical time controls ( G|60  G|30)
