d4 and c4 openings!

Some folk says five openings seen from d4/c4 will show:

Slav (another 4 letter S-word)

Semi-Slav (a pair of 4 letter S-words hyphenated)

And three other openings!

Love playing slav and semi slav against anyone playing first move d4.

1) e4 openings can be played without d4

2) I think he meant no swear words with f or s, thus, F*** or S*** not allowed

Albin Counter-Gambit is horrible.

Blumenfeld counter gambit is really good

When White allows it that is.  Only problem is you cannot always get it against d4/c4.  White can play:

3.g3 - The Catalan

3.Nc3 - Allowing the Nimzo-Indian, QGD, etc.  Now if 3...c5 4.d5, 4...b5 is not good.

3.Nf3 c5 4.Nc3 (Anti-Benoni)

Well of course it would be part of a larger repertoire. For example against the catalan 7. dxc4 (open variation), against 3. Nc3 the nimzo indian and maybe a KID setup against the London. Also the anti-benoni is trash, cxd4 and black already has the initiative.

I can do logic.  You are an idiot for implying that I'm an idiot.  What I'm saying is a joke is e4 openings that start d4.  Either you talk e4 openings or you don't.

Based on his message, he's interested in 1.d4 e6 2.e4 d5 but not 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5.

The point was that he should have simply said he is not interested in e4 openings.  Saying that he is interested in an e4 opening that started d4 is the part I'm claiming is a joke!  Otherwise, there are very few e4-openings that cannot be reached via d4.

1.d4 c5 2.e4 - Sicilian (Morra Gambit)

1.d4 e6 2.e4 - French Defense

1.d4 c6 2.e4 - Caro-Kann Defense

1.d4 d6 2.e4 - Pirc Defense

1.d4 g6 2.e4 - Modern Defense w/o c4

1.d4 Nc6 2.e4 - Nimzowitch Defense

Reaching the double KP Openings, Alekhine or Scandinavian via 1.d4 may be a bit of a stretch.

I dont usually play 1.c4, so I will only be discussing the 1.d4 openings…

Those openings are very positional and strategical, so don’t bother much trying to find tactics… Most lines are closed, uncommonly semi-open and rarely open. 
White will try to gain space, while black will try to keep the game closed until he’s ready for a strike.

BDG is a d4 e4 opening not d4 c4
