deviation in the Scandinavian Defence

Hello, I have been looking at the Scandinavian Defense. In particular, if white deviates by playing 2) e5,... instead of 2) exd4,...

so far I have thought of three reasonable responses.

2) e5, e6 and black can go into an advanced French

2) e5, Bf5 and possibly an advanced Caro Kann with e6 on move 3 or

2) e5, c5 which seems flexible for white and black.

Any ideas or observations on these three moves would be encouraging. As well as any other moves that could be played. thank you

I would probably play c5 or Bf5.

I don’t like the Scandinavian defense in general actually. I’ve learned this from my opponents. If you want me to go into reasons why I don’t like the Scandinavian, I would ask for you to give me your rating so I make sure that what I’m gonna say is gonna make sense.

Beaverchess you are welcome to make any observations that are relevant to the subject. I only ask for everyone to be kind and not derogatory to each other. I am interested in a discussion of ideas and they are valuable at all levels. My ratings are available on my profile. I have been on a 10 year absence from chess. At my best, I was 1821 daily here on chess.com. and I made 1910 uscf.

e6 is somewhat questionable here, as it blocks in the bishop unprovoked. I would play c5, hoping for Nf3, and then quickly play Bg4 and e6, with a better position. f6 is interesting, and may require further thought, but it’s also possibly double edged. Aside from Bf5, c5, and f6, there is also the somewhat dubious Nc6 perhaps, transposing into Nimzowitsch Scandinavian territory.

I think black is better if white does D5.

There is also 1) e4 d5 2) e5 Nc6 3) d4 Bf5 (transposition of 1.e4 Nc6 2.d4 d5 3.e5 Bf5)

Yes, I believe 2) e5, f6 is worse for black. I would not play it.

Alchessblitz, reminds me of Chigoran type ideas except white has not played c4 or Nc3 yet.

I looked closer at 2)...,c5. If white plays 3)d4, Nc6 it becomes like a Queens gambit with colors reversed but the e pawn is on e5 instead of e3 like a QGD or slav, semi-slav. If 4) dxc5,... it's like a QGA colors reversed. If white plays Nf3 before d4 and c5xd4 is it possible to enter Open Sicilian waters but white has already gotten in e5? I don't know if white can transpose to an English opening with c4, g3, and Bg2 as well?
