Hi guys! Im Viper and about intermediate in chess but lately I realized my openings are way to defensive resulting in a draw due to time. I heard that people here are very friendly so even mentioning a name of an opening would help! Thats it and I hope to learn more using this site!

Aggressive openings are openings played by players with an aggressive style.
Tal, Fischer, Kasparov come to mind.
They played Najdorf Sicilian 1 e4 c5 2 Nf3 d6 3 d4 cxd4 4 Nxd4 Nf6 5 Nc3 a6
and King's Indian Defence 1 d4 Nf6 2 c4 g6 3 Nc3 g6 4 e4 d6 as black
and Ruy Lopez 1 e4 e5 2 Nf3 Nc6 3 Bb5 as white.

The Queen's Gambit can be quite aggressive or if you like 1.d4, you could try to Blackmar-Diemer Gambit which at your level, no one is going to outright refute but since you are at that level, you can make mistakes but very aggressive and tricky. For some ideas, you can check out my 1.d4 Sidelines Study (this is for Black) to get some ideas like the Von-Popiel Gambit or the 8.Ng5!? line. Of course, if you use the opening explorer, you can see the most played moves and find more traps but this will at least show you how a top player would beat it.

As Black, the Slav can be quite aggressive with the likes of the Botvinnik and Moscow Variations. However, you will not get anyone to go down that path but you will get a lot of players fall into the Winawer Countergambit. I will leave a pgn below in case you want to look deeper into it

For 1.e4, the French is good but you might want to open things up more with a Sicilian. I like thee Taimanov but there are many good options out there

My best advice is just place your pieces actively and don't waste time. Look for moves that put pressure on your opponent and challenge their set up. Remember if both sides play well you should not get that much of an advantage out of the opening. Sicilain is known as the most aggressive response to e4. Against d4 maybe try a Benoni or KID. If you play e4 maybe try the danish or smith morra gambit if you just want an aggressive position. If you play d4 queen's gambit or the Catalan is good but will give you more of a long term positional advantage.
