Dude.

bro getting jason repa vibes. Choosing the lowest rating and then belittling them. Hahaha. But i am only 1200, what can i say?

How am I supposed to know his rapid? Daily is the next closest thing.

Oh please, rating was never a topic, troll.

If you were 2000 and reached that in 2 years, I would start to actually believe or consider what you said. I am just shocked that a player can even think so.

Yes so, if my rating is not 2000 anything I say cannot be considered? I didn't believe anyone could be this much of a moron until now.

Believe me this is anything but unexpected. Also tf I know 1300s who know more about openings than I do, rating is only an average of performance throughout the entire game, not the opening.

Thread summarized so far:

  • Shoddy opening play in the original post
  • aditysaxena guy showcasing bad moves and acting like it's prep
  • A bunch of intermediates arguing over Queen's Gambit in a London thread
  • Intermediates disregarding the criticism of their criticism in favor of more debate on what opening is better when the win rates are almost identical
  • Discussion on grades for some reason
  • Rating insults

Definitely the Chess.com forums

Dude? Just click on his profile? My guy has the time to look at his daily rating but not his rapid which is just literally next to his daily?

not really a big difference.

Black has a chance to win by 7% more. That's a big difference.

Not really. 2.e4 has a 54% winrate after 1.d4 d5.

The total score for 2.e4 is ~61%.

the total score for 2.c4 is ~67%.

The total score for 2.Bf4 is ~65%.

i like how nickolay has conveniently ignored this.

Here's my actual thoughts on the London:

I feel as if white can push for a small advantage if faced with 1. d5 instead of 1. nf6. Won't be a huge advantage, but maybe a slightly favorable endgame for white or something

London vs 1. nf6 just hands black a good game after 1. d4 nf6 2. Bf4 c5 3. e3 qb6

Although I could be wrong as I couldn't be bothered to play London instead of Colle

ShouldBeABreeze

I used to play it where I would often play c4 instead of c3, or just castle queenside and start a kingside attack.

He played only 6 games, that rating isn't real.

I’m pretty sure the Benoni against the London either has a lot of theory or is not the best. Forgot.

That is one of the only theoretical lines in the London because it disturbs the system. Compare that to something like the Najdorf. There are countless of lines and variations. That is an example of "a lot of theory."

That's why the Semi-Slav is so much fun to play. But London players don't know what a fun opening is

A London against a Benoni is not the best, black gets advantage immediately. The benoni is a perfectly okay response to d4 in my opinion.
