Here we go again. More theory and options that "beginners" shouldn't touch. As if somehow becoming "not a beginner" (whenever that is...I'm sure everyone has a different notion) permits you to use certain openings, and study certain aspects of chess, with justification and the approval of all.
It's tedious, this priests vs. acolytes approach that still permeates a lot of chess discussion. The Sicilian is too popular with low-rated players. So what? Why is that bad? Because they will lose more? If playing against each other, someone is going to win.
There's no logic to this statement, other than the usual elitism that thankfully is generational and going extinct, along with the old Soviet-bloc domination of world chess and how it should be taught.

Art of Deception...your no-doubt calm and reasoned response was unfortunately torpedoed, right at the start, by your inability to refrain from name-calling. After that I skipped the rest.
Next time, try to let the mud pail go and whatever you have to say of merit may actually get read.
Either Najdorf or dragon. I like the Sicilian's fortification, ready to attack or defend at any momen.
Whatever for me this is the first time I've looked at an argument over chess.com. Most of the time I ignore every signle troll and the person mad at the troll. These people just have an opinion but it just so happens taht it makes someone mad... or feel superior...
The accelerated dragon version of the Sicilian is a very nice defense that speeds the game up.
