Around last April I joined a KID tournament (daily) and asked my 2000 uscf friend how I should play the KID since I didn't know ANY theory.
He just said to throw the F pawn and hope for the best. It's not the best advice, but it's good general advice. And I didn't do too badly in the tournament.
